    Card secured at booking — full payment or deposit. Cuts no-shows and locks in commitment for high-value services.

Staff selection

Let clients pick. Let Beauta pick. Or both.

Some salons want client choice. Some want even workload. Some need both — Beauta supports all three.

    Client chooses their stylist or therapist at booking. Best for salons with strong personal relationships.

    Beauta picks based on availability, skills, and balanced workload. Best for high-volume salons with interchangeable staff.

    Show staff options if the client wants to choose — auto-assign if they don't. The default that works for most salons.

Notice periods

Cancellation and reschedule rules — set them once.

Tell clients how much notice is required to cancel or move their booking. Beauta enforces it — a friendly note, a fee, or a block. Your call.

    Require a minimum heads-up — "no bookings within the next 2 hours".

  • Max advance booking

    Stop bookings made too far ahead — "no more than 90 days out".

  • Per-service buffers

    Auto-add 15 minutes between bookings for clean-up or set-up.

  • Deposit rules per service

    Charge deposits only on long or high-value services.

  • Required client info

    Choose what clients must provide at booking — phone, allergy notes, photo, etc.

  • Auto-confirmation

    Auto-confirm trusted clients or require manual approval for first-timers.

Rules for clients. Override for admins.

Auto-rules respect everything you set — for clients booking online. As admin, you still bypass any of it: late cancel without fee, book past the lead time, allow a VIP outside the rules.

Booking policy FAQs

  • Can I require deposits only for certain services?

    Yes. Deposit rules are per service — colour sessions might need a $50 deposit while a quick cut takes no payment until check-out.

  • Can I block repeat no-show clients automatically?

    Yes. Set a threshold (e.g. 2 no-shows in 90 days) and Beauta blocks future online bookings from that client — you still see and approve them manually.

  • What happens when a client cancels last-minute?

    If the cancellation is inside your notice window, Beauta charges the late-cancel fee automatically (if enabled) and notifies the client. Admins can waive the fee in two clicks.

  • Can different services have different cancellation notices?

    Yes. Notice periods are per service — a 3-hour balayage might need 48h notice while a 30-min polish needs only 2h.

  • Can I exempt VIP or trusted clients from rules?

    Yes. Mark clients as VIP and they skip rules like lead time, deposits, or notice periods — useful for long-time regulars and friends.

  • How do clients see the policies before booking?

    Policies are shown on the booking page before the client confirms. They also appear in the booking confirmation email — so there are no surprises later.
