← All featuresRoles & Access

One account per person. Roles you design.

Beauta doesn't lock you into pre-set roles. Design as many — or as few — roles as your salon needs, with any name, any scope, and any permission combination. Only admins see everything. Client privacy and salon data stay protected by design.

Example setups

How other salons configure roles.

These are just examples — Beauta lets you create any role with any permission combination. Use them as a starting point, or design something completely different. The number, names, and scope are all yours.

  • Full accessExample

    Admin / Owner

Everything. Calendar, bookings, clients, reports, payouts, settings, billing, team management.

  • OperationsExample

    Manager

Everyday running of the salon. Calendar, bookings, clients, reports, schedules — limited financial admin and billing.

  • Front deskExample

    Receptionist

Take bookings, manage clients, check people in. No reports, no payouts, no sensitive settings.

  • Own work onlyExample

    Stylist / Staff

Their schedule, their clients, their bookings. They don't see colleagues' work or salon-wide data.

These are just patterns. Your salon decides the names, the number, and what each role can do.

Privacy by design

Salon data and client info — protected by design.

Beauta separates what each role can see so the wrong eyes never land on the wrong data.

  • Private client info, protected

Staff only see clients they're assigned to. Phone numbers, notes, and history stay private from colleagues.

  • Financial data restricted

Only admins (and optionally managers) see revenue, payouts, and bank info. The rest of the team focuses on their work.

  • Staff earnings stay private

Each stylist sees their own performance and earnings — never their colleagues'. No awkward salon-floor comparisons.

  • Audit trail of every change

See who did what, when. Every booking change, refund, or override is logged for accountability and dispute resolution.

What you can customize

Every role, built your way.

Beauta is custom-first — you mix and match permissions to create roles that fit your salon's exact structure.

  • Create custom roles with your own name and permission set
  • Per-page and per-action permissions (view, edit, delete)
  • Location-scoped access for multi-location salons
  • Time-limited access for contractors, locums, or temp staff
  • Per-role default home page and visible navigation
  • Bulk-assign roles when onboarding new team members

Roles & Access FAQs

  • Can I create custom roles beyond the four defaults?

Yes. Build custom roles with any combination of page-level and action-level permissions. Useful for hybrid jobs like "senior stylist who also manages bookings".

  • Can a staff member see their own earnings without seeing colleagues'?

Yes. Each staff sees their own performance and earnings on their personal dashboard. They can't see other staff's numbers.

  • Can I limit access per location for multi-location salons?

Yes. Roles can be scoped to a specific location. A receptionist at Branch A doesn't see bookings or clients from Branch B unless explicitly granted.

  • Can I temporarily give someone elevated access?

Yes. Admins can grant temporary elevated permissions — useful for cover shifts, training, or contractors. Access automatically expires when you set it to.

  • What happens when a team member leaves?

Deactivate their account in one click. Their bookings and history stay intact, but they lose all access immediately. Re-enable later if they come back.

  • Is everything they did still tracked after they leave?

Yes. The audit trail keeps every action ever taken, regardless of whether the account is still active. Useful for compliance and dispute resolution.
